IFPO leaders continue to work tirelessly and extensively to serve our neighbors during these challenges times. The IFPO distributes food and essential items to clients on Wednesday mornings. In October 2021, we were regularly assisting more than 475 clients per week on site. By June 2022, that number rose to 550 weekly. By March 2023, we were assisting 600 clients and 50 other individuals seeking food each week.

For more information on volunteering, click here.

Throughout 2022, the IFPO had more than 21,000 pantry visits, a 20% increase over 2021 and an astonishing 75% increase over pre-Covid levels in 2019, when the IFPO had 12,000 pantry visits.

The IFPO also works closely with the Community FoodBank of NJ

to ensure that additional food is available each week in Orange and East Orange for their direct distribution to residents in need. Through this partnership, in addition to hearty produce boxes, Orange received nearly 13,000 pounds of food and East Orange more than 8,000 pounds of food just in December 2022.
