Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the IFPO is not distributing food on Wednesday mornings at the Church of the Epiphany & Christ Church. The IFPO is now serving clients by appointment only out of a different Orange location. Registered IFPO clients with a pantry card who wish to make an appointment to pick up food: please email IFPOranges@gmail.com or call/text 973-856-4000.  Please include your name, address, cell phone number, and IFPO card number.

 

The IFPO also is working with the townships of Orange and East Orange to get significant quantities of food into the community. Please check back regularly for updates.

Coronavirus Vaccinations - Information about scheduling appointments, order of vaccinations, cost (free or insurance coverage accepted), and locations to receive vaccinations can be found here.

People currently eligible for vaccinations include: individuals ages 65 and older, persons 18-64 with high-risk medical conditions, uniformed police officers, firefighters, health care workers and others identified in Group 1A.

If you think you may be currently eligible, please go to https://www.essexcovid.org/ or call 973 877 8456 to register. Registration for later vaccination opportunities is now available at covidvaccine.nj.gov.

A vaccine call center to help New Jersey residents, especially seniors, get a COVID-19 vaccination appointment is now live. The center is staffed with 250 agents from 8 am - 8 pm. Call 855-568-0545.

​​Emergency Food Pantries & Food Distributions
  • Tuesdays, 9:00 - 12:00, Holy Trinity Food Pantry, 315 Main Street, West Orange. Open to residents of Oranges and/or referrals from an approved agency. Bring ID​.​​​​​ IFPO clients show IFPO ID card.

 

  • Essex County Thursday Food Distributions - Walk up or drive thru. Emergency food box for 40 meals. Thursday March 4, 9 am, St. Matthew AME Church, 336 Oakwood Ave., Orange, NJ. Details here.

  • Saturdays 12:00 - 1:00, Christine's Kitchen, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 315 Main Street, West Orange. Free bagged lunch to go. All are welcome.

  • Saturdays 11:00 - 1:30, Free bagged lunch and groceries, Emergency food pantry of Church of the Epiphany and Christ Church, 105 Main Street, Orange. Rain or shine in the Church parking lot. Clients can pick-up groceries twice a month.​​​​​​​

  • Saturday Feb. 27, 8 am to 11 am. Our Lady of Sorrows Food Pantry. 4th St (btw Prospect & Academy), South Orange. Vehicles can pull up to the area marked with cones and pop the trunk to receive a full bag.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

City of Orange Residents​​​​​
  • The City of Orange generally distributes food on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 - 2 at 234 Lincoln Avenue. Between Jackson Street and Central Avenue. Orange Residents in need of delivery call Mayor Warren's hotline: 973-280-1621.

  • ORANGE SCHOOL DISTRICT GRAB AND GO MEALS: The District will continue to provide packaged ‘Grab-and-Go’ breakfast and lunch during all virtual/remote phases of the 2020-2021 school year, at no cost to families, from 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Details here. 

  • City of Orange seniors and families with children can call the City at 973-280-1621.

East Orange Residents
  • Food distribution today Friday Feb. 26 - 11 am - 90 Halsted St. Meat, produce, non-perishables. Details here.
 
  • Food Distribution Wednesdays  for residents - Third Ward Community Center, 120 Rhode Island Ave. 5 pm. Walk ups only.  Next date TBA. 
  • East Orange Office of Emergency Management, 402 Springdale Ave, East Orange. Next date TBA. East Orange residents only with photo ID. Drive through or walk-up.​​ ​​
  • Joi's Angel food pantry, 114 S. Arlington Ave., 9 am - 12 pm.  Feb. 25. [Third and Fourth Thursday of each month]. Third Thursday is also diaper pantry for children up to age 3 (bring birth certificate). Details here. 
  • East Orange Residents of all ages: Grab & Go Meals, Monday-Friday 11 AM to 3 PM. Fellowship Civic Center, 1 Fellowship Circle.
