COVID Volunteer Information
The IFPO has volunteer hours on Monday and Wednesday mornings. Advance sign-up is required. For information about volunteer opportunities for adults and high school students or to receive the sign up link, or to be added to our e-newsletter list, email IFPOranges@gmail.com.

On Mondays, generally we package groceries, toiletries and/or diaper supplies, organize inventory and perform other pantry prep work. Most of these jobs are indoors and require standing for the duration of the shift.

The IFPO offers indoor/outdoor food distribution to clients on Wednesday mornings, except the first Wednesday of the month. Volunteer activities on Distribution Day include: offering groceries to clients and loading grocery bags and produce boxes into vehicles that come through our drive-up line. Strong volunteers are also needed to unload delivery trucks and move cases of food into the warehouse.

Due to the nature of our warehouse and our work, volunteers must be adults or high school students. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept younger children.

The IFPO prides itself on treating everyone who comes to us with dignity and respect.
