The IFPO provides supplemental and emergency food assistance primarily to residents of Orange and East Orange in a dignified and respectful manner. The IFPO offers a choice of healthy foods from which each client can select items that meet their family’s needs.

WHEN CAN I COME TO THE FOOD PANTRY?
WEDNESDAYS, but we are always closed the first Wednesday of the month
9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. The pantry is housed in the Church of the Epiphany and Christ Church, 105 Main Street, Orange.
WHAT DOES THE IFPO OFFER?
The IFPO is a client-choice food pantry. Once you are a registered client (details below), you may visit our stations to select the foods you prefer. We offer choices of healthy food and fresh produce. Once a month, the IFPO offers feminine hygiene products and toiletries. There is a diaper program for babies under 3.5 years old.
AFTER YOUR FIRST VISIT, YOU MUST REGISTER TO RECEIVE CONTINUED FOOD ASSISTANCE FROM THE IFPO.
WE REQUIRE YOU TO BRING THESE ITEMS TO REGISTER AS AN IFPO CLIENT:
YOUR PHOTO ID- any of the following:
NJ Drivers License, Passport, NJ Non-Drivers License, Veteran's Identification Card, Employee ID, any document issued by a government entity. Other forms of photo ID may be accepted. (Please see us if you do not have photo ID). You must reside in Orange or East Orange, NJ to register.
PROOF OF ADDRESS FOR EACH FAMILY MEMBER:
The IFPO offers food assistance based on the size of the family living in your home. Accordingly, you must provide proof of address for each resident family member. For example: utility bill, social security statement, medical statement, disability statement, copy of lease, other official mail to family members in your home, children’s school/health records, birth certificates for children.
PROOF THAT YOU NEED EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE:
For example: SNAP (Families First), TANF, WIC, Medicaid, SSI, benefit letter, letter from clergy, hospital, referral from a social services agency (such as: Catholic Charities, Township of Orange Community Services, Salvation Army, Newark Emergency Services for Families, Inc., Family Connections, etc.)
REGISTRATION FOR DIAPERS
In order to obtain diapers from the IFPO, you must register babies/children living in your household. Proof of age, such as birth certificates, are required. We offer diapers to registered babies/children up to the age of 3 ½ years old. If you are not the parent, proof of guardianship or proof that child’s parent(s) lives in the home is required. Clients may pickup diapers one time a month on the pantry day they choose.

Please come to the pantry during our operating hours on Wednesday mornings and speak privately and confidentially with our trained volunteers.
