Thank You to Coat Drive Supporters, Who Provided Warmth for Our Clients

We were thrilled to distribute over 1,500 new and gently used winter coats to our clients due to the astounding generosity of those who contributed to coat drives held on our behalf. This year, we were able to increase our coat distribution, giving out one adult coat and two childrens' coats to each client. Significant numbers of coats were provided by our partner congregations: TSTI, TBJ, Christ Church - Short Hills and by the Sisterhood of Congregation Beth El. We are also extremely thankful to the many individuals and organizations who hosted coat drives for us, including: Amy Paternite and Shayna Schmidt of Coldwell Banker; Saritte Harel Team at Keller Williams; The Sue Adler Team at Keller Williams; The Hilton of Short Hills; the Millburn Education Center; Winston School of Short HillsVillage Babies Development Centerkk creative web design; Margaret Omariba and Prospect Presbyterian Church of Maplewood; Saba Khan and all of the groups who collected coats on our behalf.

This beaming longtime client told us that in all the years of coming she has never chosen a coat for herself, and she absolutely loved having a warm, pretty coat. In the pocket she found the note in the photo wishing her an amazing day, and it just overwhelmed her.

Thank you to the amazing Pamela Singer, Director of Community Engagement, and to Summit Medical Group Foundation (pictured left) for collecting, cleaning and delivering 350 coats. This wonderful organization does so much for our pantry, including co-sponsoring our diabetes program.

Thank you to the ECLC of New Jersey for doing a coat drive for us. We are delighted to have their PRIDE clients volunteer at the IFPO every week, furthering their program's mission of community participation and work enhancement skills.

Lowenstein Sandler LLP again this year collected a copious amount of coats and winter accessories to help keep their neighbors warm this winter.

We are very grateful to Deerfield Elementary School of Millburn Township (pictured right), who has designated the IFPO as their charitable partner for community outreach efforts for the school year. Thanks to the generosity of Deerfield Families, the school collected 175 coats as well as 400 cans of holiday-related food for the IFPO. Deerfield School is also partnering with the Toy Drive and helping to spread even more holiday cheer to our clients!

Thank you to Deborah Trama, Manager of Daily Operations of Village Babies Development Center. South Orange, who collected 120 coats. They also donated a van load of baby food, which will be distributed to our diaper clients in December.

McCusker, Anselmi, Rosen & Carvelli, P.C collected coats once again for us. Their continued support is much appreciated.

Thank you to Wendy Ferber and Pride Products for collecting so many coats for us.

Thank you to Dot Ganek, family and friends, who collected over 50 coats for us!

Thank you to Almar Party & Tent Rentals for the fantastic tent and for making it possible for us to again move the coats outside to facilitate selection.

The generosity of our many coat drive supporters meant that our coat tent contained a fantastic selection.

A very special thanks to Gail Roth and Ellen Tamaroff of our partner Congregation Beth El for again coordinating this distribution.

How amazing to be able to pick out warm coats for your children. Clients got to choose multiple childrens' coats this year thanks to all of our many, many wonderful donations!

Thank you to everyone who donated a coat this fall!
