Are You Seeking Food Assistance?
The IFPO provides supplemental and emergency food assistance primarily to residents of Orange, East Orange and West Orange in a dignified and respectful manner. During the Covid emergency, we are operating by appointment on Wednesday mornings at 357 S Jefferson Street, Orange. Nearby bus stops for the #41, 73 and 92.
Distribution is outdoors and clients may walk up or drive up. Face masks are required!

When can I come to the food pantry?
Service is available for existing clients on Wednesdays between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. The pantry closes promptly at 12:00.

What does the IFPO offer?
The IFPO offers non-perishable food as well as fresh fruit and vegetables. Once a month, the IFPO offers feminine hygiene products and toiletries. There is a diaper program for babies under 3.5 years old who live in Orange or East Orange.
Items required to register for food
YOUR PHOTO ID- any of the following:
NJ Drivers License, Passport, NJ Non-Drivers License, Veteran card, Employee ID, any document issued by a government entity. Other forms of photo ID may be accepted. (see us if you do not have photo ID).
PROOF OF ADDRESS:
For example: utility bill, social security statement, medical statement, disability statement, copy of lease, to prove that you live in NJ.
During the Covid emergency, new clients may text photos of their ID and proof of address to 973-856-4000 or
908-643-7425 en español, and a pantry volunteer will assist you and help you schedule your first appointment.
Register for Diapers
In order to obtain diapers from the IFPO, you must register babies/children living in your household. Proof of age, such as birth certificates, are required. We offer diapers to registered babies/children up to the age of 3 ½ years old who are residents of Orange or East Orange, NJ only. Clients may pickup diapers one time a month on the pantry day they choose.
To register a new baby for the diaper program, please take photos of the baby's birth certificate and the parent's ID with a local Orange or East Orange address and text to 973-856-4000 or 908-643-7425 en español.
